In 2022 we're working with more artists that ever before over a number of different projects and programs during DSAF.

We are extremely lucky to have so many incredibly talented artists on our doorstep and we cannot wait to see what they come up with this year!

George Rose is a Melbourne-based artist best known for her large-scale murals. Using her love of colour and gradients with a focus on endemic flora and abstraction to create her energetic artworks.

When she’s not working on commercial projects, she’s on the global street art festival circuit. Rose has proved herself to be one of Australia’s leading street artists, with over 150+ murals to her name. She has recently won the Resene Total Colour Visual Art Award.

In 2022, as part of DSAF's commitment to creating pathways for emerging artists we have added a new program that creates temporary art in public spaces.

These artists will take part in a project that will see a number of temporary wall structures set up around Darwin in public places that allow the artists a free space to create, while also allowing the public to engage with the art and artists in real time.

Keep your eyes peeled during festival time - we can’t wait to see what these exciting artists come up with!

Proper Creative (in partnership with DSAF) is excited to be curating the next CITYLIFE Platform (Lightboxes) exhibition in partnership with the City of Darwin, launching in September this year.

Proper Creative will work with 10 incredibly talented local artists who have been involved with DSAF in the past, in the present (2022 DSAF), and who we hope to work with in the future.
