Dowatfeelsgood, also known as Jack Hodges (born 1988), is a visual artist from Goolwa, SA, who currently resides in Nambucca Heads, NSW.
Jack's practice spans from paintings and sculptures to interactive art activities, zines, and videos. His art is about fostering connections, sparking dialogues, gathering insights, and reimagining social norms. Jack's creations are a blend of boldness, spontaneity, and precision, all while remaining thoughtful and reflective of the local community and contemporary trends.
Outside his studio practice, Jack has undertaken community art projects in Indonesia and Nepal, as well as domestically across the Northern Territory, South Australia, and New South Wales.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The Northern Territory punches well above it's weight with musical talent and this mural, which features 21 album covers from local musicians and bands, is a testament to this.

Jack says of his mural: "I'm a big music fan and know there are many great bands hailing from the Top End. Through conversations with locals and the artists, I have curated a mural showcasing a selection of album covers from artists who have made a lasting impact in the music scene.

Sadly not everyone can fit in, but I hope this mural provides an opportunity for people to discover new artists and to pay respects to those contributing to local culture."
