Darwin Street Art Festival
Where The Gallery Meets The Street
The Darwin Street Art Festival (DSAF) is delivered by Proper Creative, a partnership between David Collins and Jesse Belle, both artists have a strong background in the rich history of graffiti and street art in Darwin and the NT.
Initially funded by Northern Territory Major Events Company, DSAF is now supported by the Northern Territory Government, Activate Darwin and a number of other valued sponsors.
Since its inception in 2017 DSAF has transformed the streets of Darwin into a spectacular outdoor art gallery that attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Vibrant, thought-provoking and accessible to all
Along with bringing to Darwin some of the biggest names in street and mural art in the world, DSAF works hard to enable and encourage local artists to increase their skills and be paid for their incredible work, as well as allowing them as much artistic vision and licence as possible.
Shadforth Lane in Darwin City is the locals-only laneway - all the pieces in this lane are done by artists local to the Northern Territory.
The pieces that you see in Darwin’s streets are vibrant, thought-provoking and accessible to all - something that DSAF is especially proud of.
If you’re visiting Darwin or even if you live here and want to know more about our street art there are lots of options to tour the art in our town and beyond.
