Marita Albers is a local Darwin artist who has been exhibiting her work in the Territory, interstate and overseas for almost twenty years. She is primarily known for her brightly-coloured, exuberant paintings, but has worked in a variety of other mediums as well. Marita has collaborated on dance and fashion projects, illustrated a children’s book and worked on a number of public art projects. She draws on her love of story and her travels to fuel her work, and professes an incurable addiction to colour.
