RIECE RANSON

'Queensland Grouper' - KNUCKEY STREET

THE ARTIST

Riece started as a graffiti writer in London developing his skills and moving on to murals and canvas’s with mediums ranging from spray paint to oil, digital designs and everything in-between.

Love for the coastal NT has created a focus off subject matter to local marine life.

THE ARTWORK

Queensland Groper are the largest reef dwelling bony fish in the world and grow to 2.7 metres and over 400kg. Riece took a fishing trip to Elizabeth River Jetty boat ramp earlier this year and managed to catch one, which was of course released.

This painting is recreating this Memory as well as paying homage to the amazing coastline and fishing in the Northern Territory.
