THE ARTIST

Ryan Medlicott is a local NT artist with a background in contemporary art, tattoo styled designs and street art.

 

Ryan uses his techniques and knowledge of these three art forms to create his artworks, he gets inspiration for his works from culture, nature, historical figures, patterns, life, family and his fellow peers.

THE ARTWORK​

 

Well known for his explorations to the top end John McDouall Stuart is an icon of the Northern Territory, the Stuart highway is named in his honour and crosses over some of his original route. Ryan has painted a portrait of the famous explorer with lettering in a graffiti style.
