THE ARTIST

​

Ryan Medlicott is a local emerging artist with backgrounds in Tattoos, Graffiti and street art.

 

Working mainly on murals Ryan’s work usually feature stories, and native plants and wildlife of the top end, showcasing there beauty and his pride for all things territorian.

THE ARTWORK

​

This mural focuses on the rare Oenpelli Python, Known as (Nawaran) to the Kunwinjku people, this snake only lives in the sandstone massif of western Arnhem Land, It is also the longest snake in the NT and changes colour by night. The Python will be painted slithering down stones from the corner of the wall in natural colours with a bright graffiti styled background.
