THE ARTIST

Blue has been a tattooist in Darwin nigh on 20yrs, and a fisherman his whole life.

 

He paints regularly, watercolour being his current favourite medium. Given a chance to participate in the street art festival saw him combine two of his loves and return to the medium of spray cans which he hasn't used much since his youth.

 

THE ARTWORK

The image is taken from one of his favorite illustrations he's done recently from a series of jumping barramundi. He wanted to capture the energy of the jumping fish and combine the colours and feel of our wet season storms.
