WEDNESDAY 13 SEPTEMBER
In Conversation with FilthyRatbag
FREE! | 6-7pm | Museum & Art Gallery of the NT (MAGNT), 19 Conacher st The Gardens
Join Celeste Mountjoy (AKA FILTHYRATBAG) in a conversation about creating and the audience's impact on an artist's output.
One of the most important parts of being an artist is being perceived. Although sometimes daunting, it’s a necessary part of the job.
Celeste Mountjoy has been posting her art on the internet since she was 14, and was drawing on the walls of her mum's place before that.
In this talk, Celeste will be discussing how different audiences and their differing reactions have impacted her experience as an artist and the type of art she creates.
Copies of Celeste's book 'What the Fuck is This' will also be for sale on the night from the MAGNT shop 'The Store'.
Places are limited.

After the final day of painting on the 16th of September, we're heading into Bustard Town! You'll find it directly off one of our favourite street art laneways - Shadforth Lane.
We're keeping it casual this year - we just want you to come and have a beer with us.
There will be a DJ in the courtyard, beers available at the bar, and if you feel like kicking on afterwards, there are four DJs playing in the band room at Bustard Town from 9pm ($10 cover charge).
